Washing-up whisk

We have run out of stock for this item.

A washing-up whisk in cereal root with two windings. Perfect for cleaning pots and pans. Cereal root is the root of a species of grass, zacaton plant, which grows on the high plateaux of Mexico. Cereal root is a tough, elastic and water-resistant material which is used for vegetable brushes and washing-up brushes. Put the whisk in boiling water for a few minutes before first use and you will get a tough and resilient brush

Our brushes are supplied by Iris Hantverk, a company with a 100 year tradition in the brush-making industry in Stockholm. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen using traditional techniques. Find out more, read the story
